About Karpat
A British importer with Turkish source relationships.
Karpat Trading Ltd is a UK Limited company registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London. We import natural stone, ceramic tiles, and architectural stone products from Turkey for sale into the British trade — wholesale only, no consumer sales, no retail showroom.
We work directly with the producers in Denizli (the global travertine capital), Afyon (the white-marble belt), and Burdur (consistent-batch beiges). No agents in between, no Western European reseller in the middle. The same quarries that make Turkey the United Kingdom's second-largest stone supplier after Italy — sold at a sourcing cost that reflects the direct relationship.
Our customers are UK memorial masons, tile distributors, stone yards, worktop fabricators, and architectural contractors. We supply by the LCL part-container and by the full 20ft or 40ft container — delivered duty-paid to your UK yard as the simplest path, or FOB/CIF for buyers who'd rather clear their own import.

£6-8M / year
UK imports of Turkish worked marble and travertine (HS 6802.21), 2022-2024. Concentrated in beige and cream tones. Source: HMRC trade data.
Direct from Denizli
Denizli is the global travertine capital. Our producer relationships there give us first-call on consistent batches of vein-cut and cross-cut material.
CE recognised in GB
Under the UK Government's September 2024 statement, CE-marked construction products remain recognised in Great Britain with no end date — and the Government has committed to a minimum two-year notice before any change. UKCA marking is voluntary, not required. Turkish preferential origin and BS EN compliance carry through to UK acceptance.
Documentation on every shipment
Certifications
Preferential origin proved by the Turkish exporter's declaration on origin, or an EUR.1 movement certificate. CE marking under the relevant BS EN standards. Declaration of Performance and full test reports issued on request — most distributors and fabricators receive these as a standard pack with their proforma invoice.
