Open a trade account with Karpat.
Karpat Trading supplies wholesale to the UK trade only — builders' merchants, stone yards, memorial masons, worktop fabricators, tile distributors, landscapers and contractors. Opening an account is simple and carries no obligation or standing commitment: tell us what you need, we quote, you decide. No retail, no showroom, no membership fee.
How it works
From enquiry to delivered, in four steps.
| 1 · Tell us what you need | Material, format, finish, quantity, and your delivery postcode or port. A sample to match is welcome. |
|---|---|
| 2 · Samples & quote | We dispatch a sample pack and return comparative producer offers with a delivered-UK (DDP) price, typically within two to three working days. |
| 3 · Agree terms & order | Sign off the sample and confirm payment terms — first order 60% advance + 40% before delivery, or 100% against proforma; repeat orders 50/50; net terms once established. |
| 4 · Delivered duty-paid | We handle ocean freight, cargo insurance, UK customs clearance, duty and import VAT. You receive the goods and one GBP invoice — nothing to arrange. |

Setting up
What we need from you.
- Company details — trading name, registration number, and billing & delivery address.
- A contact — name, email and phone for quotes and order updates.
- How you want to buy — delivered duty-paid (our standard, no UK import admin your end), or FOB/CIF if you clear your own import.
- VAT number — only needed if you self-import (FOB/CIF/CFR); not required to buy DDP.
We're a real, checkable company — Karpat Trading Ltd, registered in England & Wales (no. 16221500). Every order ships with a full documentation pack, samples come before the balance is committed, and you can inspect before anything sails. See how we de-risk your first order for the detail.
Common questions
Trade accounts — what buyers ask.
Do I need to be VAT registered to open an account?
No. On our standard delivered (DDP) basis we handle UK import, duty and import VAT and invoice you in GBP, so no VAT or EORI number is needed at your end. You only need your own VAT/EORI if you choose to self-import on FOB, CFR or CIF terms.
Is there a minimum order or a joining fee?
No joining fee and no standing commitment. Orders run from an LCL part-load up to full 20ft and 40ft containers — you order when you need to.
Do you sell to the public?
No — Karpat is wholesale and trade only. There is no retail showroom and no consumer sales.
How quickly can I start?
Setting up is same-day — it's really just an enquiry. From order, stock items reach your yard in about 3–4 weeks and cut-to-order in 5–6 weeks.
